Intro to Green Witch Aromatherapy with For Strange Women, June 9, 2018, 4-6pm.

Jill McKeever of cult-brand For Strange Women will be here from Kansas City teaching Green Witch Aromatherapy! This class explores the physiological, psychological, and emotional applications of essential oils and other aromatic plant extractions. We will talk about issues that relate to the participants including inflammation, stress, grief, hormonal balance, depression, anxiety, and mind/spiritual assistance that plant oils are able to assist us with. An in-depth discussion about the biological functions and the appropriate use of each oil will give clarity and empowerment to anyone wanting to develop a healing relationship with the plants that speak to them. Each participant will take home their own 5mL aromatherapy oil or blend of their choice. This class is limited to 12 people only, you may register and pay on this page. Please bring your receipt to class.

Your instructor, Jill McKeever of FSW: I have been working with plant materials as medicine and therapy for over ten years, including the botanical perfume brand For Strange Women, which has been my main focus since 2009. I use exclusively natural aromatics as an outlet for interpreting the world inside my mind and the inspiration that finds me. I love capturing familiar scents that connect the wearer with life experiences and to the beauty of nature while incorporating my knowledge of aromatherapy and balanced blending techniques. I find comfort in minimally processed materials, small and sustainable production, and the alchemical magick of constructing these perfumes. I believe that understanding our connection to the earth and its gifts is essential to our spirit and that self-reliance, especially in relation to our own health, is an essential life skill. I hope to empower others to work with the tools and materials that Earth provides to heal, comfort, and assist our bodies. I have studied the science and alchemy of plants in relation to mind and body systems and am pleased to share my personal experience.
