Happy September and Happy (Unofficial) Beginning of Spooky Season!
September houses the depth of Virgo Season and brings with it our shift into Libra Season – asking us to look for both internal and external balance. This month also brings Mercury, Venus, and Mars into new signs and new energies. Despite these Earth and Air sign Suns, we’ll have a ton of fiery transits – bringing some much-needed action! The month ends with the full moon in Aries – a type of lunar reset that is much welcome after the turbulence of eclipse season. Overall, you may see themes of reflection, expression, movement, being seen, and deeply communicating! Here are our major transits for this month:
September 4th: Third Quarter Moon in Gemini
This moon combines with the Virgo sun for one of the best times of the year to reflect and refine. Chatty Gemini helps Inward Virgo get out of their shell – what from these reflections are you ready to share with others? What can you tell those around you about what you’re ready to refine?
September 10th: Venus enters Scorpio, Mercury enters Libra, Uranus Retrograde, and New Moon in Virgo
This is quite the astrological day! You may feel these distinct shifts more deeply than usual, with intuitive Virgo Sun and Moon to support. Venus in Scorpio may bring up the need for change, or the feeling that transformation is coming – find one of your trusted people and use this Mercury in Libra transit to its fullest! September 18th: First Quarter Moon in Sagittarius
This first quarter moon moves us into the action portion of the month! I love a first quarter moon for taking action, and Sagittarius loves to be moving! Whether it’s planning travel, actually traveling, or making any other type of move, you can harness this swift energy to get things done!
September 22nd: Sun enters Libra
Libra season has arrived! Despite Scorpio’s rule over holidays like Halloween, Día de los Muertos, and Samhain – it’s Libra that brings us the Fall Equinox. The Sun in Libra is a call to socialize, think about things more logically, but also to embrace beauty and pleasure. Libra is ruled by Venus (currently in passionate Scorpio) and is not shallow – like some horoscopes may have you believe. This Libra Season asks you to act on your passions, communicate with your depths, and express your desires!
September 26th: Full Moon in Aries
This Full Moon in Aries pairs so well with our previous moon in Sagittarius – be sure to notice how the actions that you took or the plans that you’ve laid have come to fruition. Not seeing those results? Aries energy often feels like we need to do it all ourselves, but the Sun in Libra reminds you that you can ask for help and lean on those around you!
September 27th: Mars enters Leo
The planet of action meets the sign of expression and creativity. Libra and Leo love to be seen and to express themselves to others – if you’ve been hiding a bit as we’ve moved through Virgo season, it’s time to come out! September 30th: Mercury enters Scorpio
Mercury leaves the airy “see all sides” Libra and moves into deeply intuitive Scorpio. To me, this is such a spooky season vibe – take time to tune into your spiritual practice. Pull out your tarot deck, refresh your altar, or connect with whatever intuitive practices have been calling your name a little bit louder than usual.
