August sets us alight after the intense warm-up to Leo Season that was July. We begin the month fresh off of Jupiter’s Cazimi in Leo, opposite an Aquarius Full Moon, and with the nodal axes recently shifting to Aquarius and Leo. The part of our chart that encompasses these signs will be especially activated over the next year and a half, and these areas are given quite the welcome party to that newfound attention during the month of August. It was hard to narrow down just a few “most important” aspects this month, as there is so much astrological richness in our present moment. The timeline for our key alignments is as follows:

August 11: Mars enters Cancer
August 12: Total Solar Eclipse in Leo
August 22: Sun enters Virgo + conjuncts the South Node

The Sun is in the first decan of Leo when the month begins, an area of the astrological wheel which corresponds to the Five of Wands. This is a time to evaluate conflicting wills in our own psyche, and confront what might be incompatible. Do our actions align with our spirit? How can we use the month of August to more deeply align our will with our identity?
