June brings with it our shift into Cancer season – time to connect with your emotions and lean into your lunar side. This month also brings Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter into new signs and new energies. The month ends with a Mercury retrograde (which lasts until July 23rd), combined with the full moon in Capricorn. Overall, you may see themes of reflection, reorientation, reconnection to values, and a call to action! Here are our major transits for this month:
June 1st: Mercury enters Cancer
The planet of communication moves into the sign of emotions, our inner world, and our home space. If you’ve been putting off a deep or challenging conversation, now is the time. Careful planning meets intuitive knowing – trust that what you’ve worked through and what your gut is telling you rings true.
June 8th: Third Quarter Moon in Pisces
This moon kicks off our theme of reflection, but Pisces muddies those waters. It may feel challenging to reflect honestly or clearly about the last few weeks. Can you take time to feel into that discomfort and let the logic of it all come later (if it comes at all)?
June 13th: Venus enters Leo
There is something about Venus in Leo that just feels like summer! Let your light shine bright during this transit; be unafraid to clearly state your wants, needs, and desires. Leo can help us connect to ourselves, and is often a sign that helps others see us.
June 14th: New Moon in Gemini
This New Moon offers a reset for our ways of communicating. We’re in the last moments of Gemini season, and the sun meets the moon in Gemini during this lunation. If you’ve been trying one mode of communication and hitting a wall, it’s time to try something different. This moon gives love letter writing, whispering instead of shouting, and even a bit of recklessness. What are you willing to risk in order to reap the reward?
June 21st: Sun enters Cancer & First Quarter Moon in Libra
Cancer season has finally arrived! Paired with a moon in Libra, there is a pull to focus on the things your little you finds beautiful – sparkly rocks, raindrops in puddles, shadows on the ceiling – what does your inner child desire? Be prepared for emotions to take center stage. And if you’ve been spending lots of time outdoors, you may feel called to return to your home space. Take a moment to declutter or to hang a meaningful photo or piece of art!
June 28th: Mars enters Gemini
The planet of action meets the sign of communication. If you still struggled to have those hard talks, there may be additional pressure (or ease) to initiate that conversation now. I also wonder, are we spending enough time sparking our creativity? Our curiosity? Mars in Gemini, plus the Sun in Cancer, urge you to engage your inner world. June 29th: Mercury stations Retrograde, Full Moon in Capricorn, & Jupiter enters Leo
What a day! The end of June brings a Full Moon in Capricorn, asking you what structures are you ready to let go of? That, combined with the beginning of a Mercury retrograde period, doubles that reflection energy and gives us more clarity than our Moon in Pisces transit. We really end with a bang as Jupiter, our planet of expansion and luck, enters fiery Leo. Remember when I said it was time to be seen? Well, doing that work now rewards you tenfold with Jupiter’s influence!
Our card for the collective is The High Priestess. This card asks us to turn down the volume on our loud, busy lives to listen to our intuition. The High Priestess speaks at a volume you cannot turn up, so if your head is feeling noisy, how can you find ways to quiet it this month? This card is moon ruled, and this month has many lunar influences. Can we find ways to honor our soft side, our ability to receive, and our inner knowing?
