It’s a new year. A clean slate where anything can happen. Last year we ended with Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius, but as of January 1st Mercury has stationed direct. Communication, our thoughts and any mishaps will have self corrected.
As the month progresses we have an activation of what motivates us when Mars enters Capricorn on January 4th.
Mars is the gas pedal of the cosmos, meaning our drive and tenacity will peak for the remainder of the month into February. So any resolutions might actually have some follow through! In the middle of the month we have a New Moon in Capricorn on the 11th. This new moon will also aid us in our personal, financial or career advancement. It’s as if we finally see the ways we might be holding ourselves back, and taking action to change things for our betterment. These themes will also be continued with Venus being in Capricorn as well. As the month ends we have a full moon in Leo, inviting a playful and dramatic energy. Our willingness to take a break from responsibilities will definitely come about.
The tarot card for the collective this month is the Hierophant. There are many layers to this card as it is a major arcana. In essence, it is about tradition, values and spirituality. Not commonly known, this card is connected to the Hebrew letter “Vav” which translates to “nail”. This is important to note because as a nail connects one object to another, we connect ourselves to those around us, and to any higher powers we believe in. This month, think about your connections. Are you connected to yourself? Are you connected to your spirit? What can you do to walk with your spirit and your authentic self? Ponder these things and continue to remember your purpose.
