Happy August! We start this month off immediately with a full moon in Aquarius on the 1st. This full moon is occurring close to Pluto which might make for some paranoia. To intensify this situation we will also have Mercury in Virgo opposing Saturn in Pisces. Making our thoughts and speech a little off, to say the least.
We jump from this austere and cold beginning to the month, right to the Leo new moon which takes place on the 16th. The Leo new moon is all about drama and creativity. Look at this moon as a new beginning connecting you with things you care about. This would be a very auspicious moon to jump start a creative endeavor.
As the month comes to a close we are hit with everyones favorite, mercury retrograde taking place from August 23rd to September 14th. This retrograde does take place in mercury’s home sign of Virgo meaning it shouldn’t be too awful. But with Venus still retrograde the tail end of this month might be annoying.
Lastly, Mars, the engine of the cosmos will be entering its antithesis Libra. This transit will make for passive aggressive energy. Not good, not bad, just a challenge. When it comes to getting things done, we might be more people pleasing than usual.
The Tarot card for the collective this month is the Eight of Wands. I affectionately call this the same-day-delivery card. The Eight of Wands is all about swift actions and quick changes. For the collective, this energetic will most likely play out by quickly realizing issues and taking action.
