Saturday, February 27, 2021

CRAVT Pop-Up is hosted at Ritualcravt, to bring exposure and attention to artists and craftspeople.  These Pop-Ups will showcase an individual maker in our storefront with their products, goods, art, and jewelry for a one day event! We will house local and non-local artists monthly. 🙂
Come by anytime February 27, 2021, 11-6pm to meet the maker/s who will have a generous selection of their work available for purchase. No tickets necessary.

This Pop-Up will be featuring Sarai Nissan {@svrvinssvn on ig}!

“Sarai Nissan was born in Boulder, Colorado, to Israeli parents. In her teens she moved to Israel with her twin sister and father in her teens, where she spent her time reading, writing, painting and drawing but also in some bleak solitude. Feeling between worlds, not entirely accepted by Israel nor by the U.S. this became a period of isolation. From this, Nissan developed a distinct visual style that reflected the darkness and desolation she felt at that time.

She draws inspiration from a broad collection of interests, ranging from Victorian traditions to 19th century Russian literature, 1920s silent films, and the occult, among others.

Upon attending the University of Colorado, Nissan broke from the primarily paint-focused mediums of her early work, moving onto digital and analog photography. Throughout her time at UC Denver, she has expanded into a wider range of methods and medias, such as photo collage, alternative photographic processes and digital painting allowing her to delve deeply into the theme of identity and self.”
